Lineage
Lacapo, who was licensed in Holstein in 1982. In Dr. Dietrich Rossow’s Holsteiner Breed Book, Lacapo is described as a “medium sized stallion with good expression and beautiful neck carriage… a very good mover. Offspring of medium frame with beautiful faces and lots of appeal. Very good movers.” Lacapo hails from the world famous Holstein stallion and “sire of the century,” Landgraf I. Landgraf’s list of show jumping progeny is endless, producing names like Freestyle (aka Lalique): winner of the Grand Prix at Aachen; Libero: the five time Dutch National Champion and ’94 World Cup winner; Linaro: 1991 Champion Holsteiner Stallion; and Landadel: 1985 100 Day Test Champion at Medingen and a sire in his own right of top dressage and jumping offspring.

Coriander
Licenced Holsteiner Stallion Born 1982 - 169cm Fabulous mind! Proven producer of champion riding horses. Very high in FN ratings year after year. What can you say about the stallion who can do it all? Dressage, jumping and driving. This was proven at the Holsteiner gala evening show. Coriander was jumped, changed saddles and did a Grand Prix test, and lastly was driven…all to the crowd’s cheers! Coriander is probably best known and respected for producing the quietest minds in Holstein. He ranked as the leading sire of sporthorses for all of Germany in his age group three years in a row. He’ll produce elastic movers with deep and effective shoulders. Coriander is included in this elite list of stallions for his consistent production of stallion sons and approved daughters. |
Lord (1967) was a winner of Körung, had excellent results at sports, and sired several successful sport horses and stallions. Lord is 75% thoroughbred, the outstanding qualities of Ladykiller xx and Cottage Son xxmingled in him, so he always transmitted his good type and excellent talents. Although Lord won the 1969 Holsteiner stallion approval, it was a controversial decision in the light of his conformational defects, and perhaps as a result of this Lord was at first not used greatly as a stallion, although he was one of the early stallions to jump successfully in competition. His first crop produced the international showjumper, Livius who won the 1980 German Showjumping Derby under Peter Luther, and then team medals at the 1981 European Championships, the World Championships of 1982 and the 1984 Olympic Games. Dr Dietrich Rossow in his Stallion Book of the Holsteiner Warmblood Breed, was somewhat cautious about Lord: “Lord was himself a successful 3 day horse. He is not a consistent producer. We see tall horses with big heads and also refined, sometimes small mares with beautiful heads. Along with his head, he often passes on his leg faults. All his get are endowed with enormous score over fences. His best offspring are products of crosses with refined mares. Today, Lord is more likely to be found in the dam lines since no stallion line has really emerged to carry on his influence. |
