His name originates from Norse Mythology, where Sleipnir was Odin's eight legged horse.
Sleipnir (Niro) is a true mommies boy, he already demonstrates fantastic uphill movement with very correct conformation. He is a serious dressage or jumping prospect! Niro already shows beautiful leg yield.
Sleipnir is honestly the most magnificent boy! He is the tallest foal I have bred to date, he will mature to minimum 17hh, his sire stands 17.1hh at 4 years old. His dam is not so tall however her previous progeny are very tall, but what makes her so special is the movement she passes on in all her progeny! Top level dressage prospect as well as the needed ability for top show jumping.
Sleipnir has numerous Open A grade jumpers in his bloodline and will definitely carry that on. He is a boy who will take you to the top in any discipline!!

Lineage
On his sire's lineage:
Santorini
By Senergy (Sandro Hit / Donnerhall) out of Ramira B (Lindenberg / Ramirez Furi). His sire, Senergy is bred from the world's elite dressage bloodlines, Sandro Hit and Donnerhall, who needs no introduction. While his dam side is what excites me the most, his dam Ramira B jumped 1.40's, his grand dam, Ramona B also jumped 1.40's and his great grand dam Moving Force xx jumped JA's! Doesn't come much more proven than that!! Senergy Imported Hanoverian Stallion Born 2008 - Stands 172cm Although being by Sandro Hit and out of a Donnerhall mare, this super young stallion is definitely showing big potential in the jumping arena. Currently jumping 1.1m, with lots of scope for the bigger classes. He has superb conformation and fantastic paces. He is owned by Saratoga Stud in KZN, South Africa. Sandro Hit Sandro Hit Licenced Hanoverian Stallion Born 1993 - Stands 172cm Sandro Hit is a Bundeschampion and Dressage World Champion with a phenomenal breeding record who has founded a new dressage horse breeding dynasty. Sandro Hit never fails to take your breath away no matter how many times you see him perform! Sandro Hit is a top sire who produces absolutely first rate offspring. He has stamped his qualities on a whole era of modern horses, producing beautiful progeny with dynamic cadence. His sons and grandsons pass on his excellent genes and their offspring include many top competition and breeding horses Donnerhall Donnerhall Licenced Oldenburg Stallion Born 30/05/1981 - Stands 172cm Donnerhall is the most successful dressage horse in the world and looks back on an exemplary career. He managed like no other sire of his generation to combine success in breeding and in sport alike. It is nearly impossible to provide a complete survey of Donnerhall's breeding record here, as it would necessitate the writing of a separate book. In Germany alone he has produced over 50 approved stallion sonsand more than 35 State Premium Mares. When a colt by Donnerwetter out of Ninette by Markus-Carnot was born at Otto Gärtner's stud farm in Wenstein, Holstein on the 30th of May 1981, no-one could have imagined that the dark chestnut who was later christened Donnerhall, would one day stage a triumphant march through the equestrian world like no stallion before him. What's more, no other stallion has ever come close to achieving what the chocolate coloured chestnut Donnerhall managed in such a convincing manner, namely, the symbiosis of the dual qualities of being a successful competition sports horse and on the other hand being a top grade breeding horse. Donnerhall should be considered one of the best stallions of the later half of the 20th Century. Lindenberg Licenced South African Warmblood Stallion Born 1991 - Stands 168cm The sire of Lindenberg, Landadel, is surely the most outstanding son of the ‘Sire of the Century’ Landgraf I who produced a vast number of approved sons and top class competition horses. The early deceased Landadel (at the tender age of 13), never went into sport due to severe problems as a youngster, but his progeny said it all. Winner of numerous International Grands Prix and A Grade competitions, including: SA Outdoor Grand Prix in 2000 and 2001, SA Derby 2005, KZN Derby 2007; Eastern Cape Discovery Grand Prix & Riders Grand Prix at KEP. Lindenberg has an impeccable Derby record, being placed or winning nearly every year he competed: 3rd 2006; 1st 2005; 4th 2002; 2nd 2001. Ramiro Z Holsteiner Stallion Born 1965 - Standing 170cm Over a period of of thirty years, the "Preferent" G Ramiro Z's performance as a sporthorse and breeding sire has clearly earned him the well deserved titles 'Stallion of the Century' and "King of Sires." Bred in Holstein, born in Westfalia, licensed at Neumünster, Ramiro Z was an international performer under Fritz Ligges, a stallion that has had a far reaching influence on the greatest acheiving sports horses of today. Ramiro was one of the first Holstein stallions to actually appear in competition unlike many others of that era. During his own sporting career he had numerous wins at all levels of show jumping including Nations Cups, Puissance (jumping over 2.2 metre) and in international Grand Prix competition. |
On his dam's lineage:
Versace is by Pomme D'or from the Lan Crest stud, who is a superb black Namibian licensed stallion.
Pomme D'or is a SAW Stallion by Dageraad (G. Ramiro Z / Nimmerdor / Farn / Joost / Ramzes) out of Lorelei (Wolfgang / Whistling Deer xx). Dageraad, who became the first licensed Dutch Warmblood stallion in the country. Ramiro Z, Dageraad’s sire, was unequivocally one of the best show jumping sires the world has ever seen. Dageraad undoubtedly helped raise the bar on the overall standard of warmbloods being bred in this country. Although Dageraad’s lineage is a jumping one, several good dressage horses have also come out of this line. Nimmerdor clearly excelled at jumping and so began his steady progression onto the world of International Showjumping. Ridden by Albert Vroom, he successfully competed in many World Cups and International Competitions, and he was accordingly invited to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Feeling however that the stallion needed to concentrate upon breeding duties, Wiepke declined the invitation. Wiepke certainly knew what he was doing, for Nimmerdor’s progeny have since proven themselves many times the world over. Nimmerdor now of course has a multitude of children including over 50 Approved sons. Ahorn, Daimler, N-Aldato, DBH Heartbreaker, Zadock, Nandor Fortuna and Coronel are but a small example. Nimmerdor also produced over sixty international showjumpers including well-known names such as VDL Everest, Broere Goldenridge, Agrovorm’s Maywood, San Patrignano Avenir and Canadian Colours. Undoubtedly, Nimmerdor is one of the best show-jumper sires of the world. When Nimmerdor was performance tested, he clearly excelled at jumping and so began his steady progression into the world of International show jumping. Ridden by Albert Vroom, he successfully competed in numerous World Cups and International competitions in Berlin, Paris, Goteborg, Dortmund and London. He was selected for the Los Angeles Olympics, but his owner, Weipke van der Lageweg decided that his focus would be on his breeding duties. In 2000, Nimmerdor was elected 'The Stallion of the 20th Century' in the Netherlands. At present, 25% of the top 150 Dutch jumping horses are out of Nimmerdor mares. Nimmerdor holds high rankings in the Dutch jumping index and World Breeding Rankings with a very high degree of heredity reliability [94%]. In 2006, Nimmerdor rounded out the USEF's Leading Jumper Sires top ten. (Interesting fact: Jazz is out of Charmante, by the Nimmerdor son, Ulster - Note that Jazz is a second generation Grand Prix dressage horse) Wolfgang gave a striking performance in Ermelo at the Performance Test, earning "9's" for jumping under saddle, stable manners, and training behavior. For the cross-country and the driving test, he was awarded 8.5's. Wolfgang has sired many approved sons and International Grand Prix and World Cup showjumpers, including Extreme (Lesley Burr), Frederic, Goldrun II, Flor, Freedom, and World Champions at Lanaken, Illussion and Kigali. Perhaps his most famous offspring is Michael Whittaker's Handel II. Together, they achieved the impossible in Stuttgart by winning both the Grand Prix and the Masters. A beautiful, 'all-round' stallion producing both showjumpers and dressage horses, WOLFGANG produced the Prix St. Georges stallions Jester and Whinny Jackson, plus the approved sons Esteban and Oscar. Wolfgang is a son of the legendary Farn. Farn made name with his offspring in the international jumping sports, with the likes of Odin N., Black and White Design, Nimmerdor, Olympus etc. Several sons of Farn were approved, like the famous stallion Nimmerdor. Wolfgang's mother is the exceptionally beautiful mare Jolanda. Her father is the famous Eratosthenes xx, known by his sons like Iwan F., Hala NB, Cyrano, Horatio, Gamin B, Oscar and I.Socrates. Wolfgang's sister Zwaantje gained multiple victories under saddle of Pieter Kersten in the national 1.40m courses. Wolfgang gained 9's at his 1983 performance test for jumping under saddle and for his behavior in stables and during training. With an 8.5 for training he was among the best in his category. In the stallion contest, he was extremely succesaful with rider Henk van den Broek. In the international leagues, Wolfgang owes his reputation to his offspring Extreme, Fior, Freedom and world champion among five year olds, Illusion. Extreme and Fior won several Grand Prix at the age of only eight! Wolfgang has many other successful offspring. Farn broke the service records. In 1979 he was offered 236 mares. In 1978 he had been awarded the 'keur' predicate, in 1991, he was delcared 'preferent', seven years after his death. He left elelven approved sons, 123 'ster', 31 'keur', 14 'preferent' and 6 'prestatie' mares." Farn was the sire of a number of notable international showjumpers, including Odin N, Black and White, Design and Olympus. Aside from Nimmerdor, Farn sired a number of stallion sons, including: Fanfare, Felix, Garant (ex Flipper), Safari, Wolfgang, ufarno, Amulet, Ulrich, and Uddel. By the end of his breeding career, Farn was the sire of 13 approved sons. The valuable qualities that Farn bestowed on his descendants were power and ability, and a strong will. This will requires a skillfull trainer, for you should never offend a Farn. Handled well, they will give you their last. Giving just that little bit more is what makes Farn descendants superior, rock-hard horses, full of courage. Farn has come to the Nederlands in the early beginnings of the conversion into a riding horse breed. He had been abandoned and almost forgotten by the time that conversion began to materialize visibily. He had stayed on, however, and again offered suppost when it was needed most. He restored what has been lost on the way. Another stallion to note is Joost, who was a top producer of the Belgian breed who sired many international jumpers and several approved sons during his career as a breeding stallion. In 1969, Ramiro (G Ramiro Z) was the absolute top stallion of his performance year and was not only successful with breeding, but also in his international jumping career under Fritz Ligges. He excelled in his puissance performances (up to 2.20 m) as well as in competition where speed was essential. Ramiro moved to Studbook Zangersheide in 1979 and went to the Netherlands two years later. On the basis of his breeding efforts that earned him world-wide fame, he was declared Horse of the Year at Jumping Amsterdam in 1992. Ramiro is still at the top of the indexes in both jumping and dressage for many breed organizations today. In 2004, he ranked 8th for the USEF Leading Jumper Sires and 9th for Leading Hunter Sires for the. Ramzes was an immediate success as a sire. His jumping offspring: Retina, ridden by Fritz Thiedemann, Romanus with Hans Günther Winkler and Ramona with Alwin Schockemöhle, established Ramzes’ fame in Holstein, and resulted in him standing there for two more seasons, in 1959 and 1960. While in Holstein, Ramzes bred showjumpers, in Westfalia, he produced dressage horses. The Ramzes son, Remus won individual dressage silver and team gold at the Tokyo Olympics, where he was ridden by Harry Boldt. Two years later, another son, Mariano, ridden by Josef Neckermann, won the World Dressage Championship, with Remus collecting another silver medal. Mariano won silver at the 1968 Games – and four years later, at the Munich Games, another son, Robin was a member of the German gold medal winning showjumping team. |
