Lineage

Chippendale (Capital) is the beautiful, loving and gentle 17.1hh grey SAW Stud stallion by Capriccio out of Rendante by Argentinus. Boasting such strong and proven jumping lines, Chippendale is without doubt a stallion to watch in the future of showjumping. Currently competing at 1.00m and is showing talent, strength and ability, Chippendale will give height, ability and temperament to his progeny together with beautiful heads and toplines.
Strong points of Chippendale:
  • Height, Jumping ability, Temperament, Correct Conformation, Honesty, Scope and a Pedigree to die for
Chippendale is by the well known and dearly loved Capriccio (Holsteiner) by the famous Cor De La Breyere. Described by breeders as a 'gift from heaven,' Cor de la Bryere has been especially successful in producing jumping horses, as he passes on his incredible bascule, scope, and jumping technique. Cor de la Bryere also passed on his willingness and trainability to his progeny, and they are carrying his name in the top showjumping arena's around the world. Capriccio's dam, Hannah, is by Capitol I, known by many as the most influencial showjumping sire in the Holsteiner breed. The white stallion by Capitano out of Folia (by Maximus x Ramzes AA) was bred by Harm Thormählen from Kollmar, Germany. Capitol descends from one of the best dam lines in Holstein.

Capriccio has competed successfully in the Open classes, winning the 1.45m Championship at the 2007 Cape Town show and is now scooping up tickets in the 1.30/1.35m classes with Celia Lecumberri. His front leg technique is tight and he is very brave, careful and good against the clock.

Licensed in 1977 in Neumünster,
Capitol I began his breeding career in Ostholstein, later moving on to Dithmarschen. In 1978 the stallion, owned by the Holsteiner Verband, gathered an 82.56 point score in his stallion performance test in Medingen. Chippendale's dam, Rendante (Oldenburg) is by the highly successful Argentinus, performing well as a showjumper up to Grand Prix level following his successful stallion performance test. The list of Argentinus' achievements during the course of his long career is long – Champion Stallion in Oldenburg, Stallion of the Year in Hanover and many more. Argentinus who has uninterruptedly performed covering duty at Klein Roscharden since his early youth, quickly advanced to become a sire of world format.

In 1984 he was awarded Top premium for his excellent offspring. In 1996 he was the youngest millionaire among Germany's top class stallions and is meanwhile the most successful living stallion nationwide. Argentinus is omnipresent wherever one looks, whether it is breeding or sport, mare shows or approvals, dressage or on the showjumping course, Argentinus's presence can be seen and felt nigh to everywhere.
