Air Jordan Z, unlimited power! The Oldenburger stallion Air Jordan Z confirms, year after year, his enormous showjumping powers in the top sport under Daniel Deusser. The impressive record of Air Jordan Z further contains the reserve title in the World Cup finals of Las Vegas 2007 and victories in the Grand Prix of Deauville, Valkenswaard and Arezzo. Before that Air Jordan Z had already successfully performed in the international showjumping sport under Judy-Ann Melchior. Sire Argentinus is one of the pillars in Oldenburger showjumping horse breeding. He is sire of famous showjumping horses such as World Cup winner Anka, Adlantus As, Asti Spumante and Arko III. On the dam’s side Air Jordan Z carries the blood of the celebrated Hanoverian Sprudelquelle family. This mares line also produced the well-known showjumping horse begetter Dominus (Dominant). The offspring of Air Jordan Z excells because of their great showjumping potential. We find a series of products from the first seasons of Air Jordan Z at international level.

Argentinus was the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2005, and the 2015 Stallion Yearbook, takes an extra page to detail his career. Argentinus has a 2014 FN ranking of 100 for dressage and 119 for jumping. His Hanoverian value for dressage is 90, and for jumping, 129. Argentinus--a living legend! It has been over a quarter of a century since Argentinus took up residence in Klein Roscharden as a sire. And today, this trademark stallion still bursting with energy. As the sire, so the off-spring: honest, willing to perform and born with a genius talent for jumping. The list of Argentinus' achievements during the course of his long career is long – Champion Stallion in Oldenburg, Stallion of the Year in Hanover – but the statistics on his internationally successful off-spring show the true dimensions of his greatness. Special Ed, for example, participated in the World Equestrian Games in Aachen under Jill Henslewood.

In 2004, Quidam de Revel topped the World Breeding Championships Jumping Stallion ratings for the second year running, establishing himself as the pre-eminent – and most expensive – living sire of jumping horses. With ten of his progeny jumping in Jerez 2002, he was the stallion with the most number of progeny at the WEG. Having passed away in early 2014, Quidam de Revel will be remembered not only as a world class Nations Cup and Olympic jumper, but as a prolific elite sire as well.
Representing France, Herve and Quidam de Revel helped secure the team bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and were fourth individually. That same year, they won the Nation Cups of Rome and Dinard as well as the Grand Prix of Rome. Quidam de Revel's ability to produce top class talent was noticed as soon as his foals started hitting the ground in 1988. He has produced more than 30 approved sons in Germany, and in 2012, eleven of his offspring competed at the London Olympic Games. The success of his offspring has kept Quidam at the top of the WBFSH jumper sire rankings for years. In 2014 he was ranked 10th. |
Secundus was one of the few British based stallions to be awarded the prestigious status by KWPN in recognition of excellent performance and breeding results.
Secundus, one of the most influential sport horse stallions to stand in Britain, has died at the age of 28 at Balcormo Stud, Fife. He has offspring representing him in all disciplines, but it is a sire of jumpers that he excelled. His sire, Rigoletto is best known as the producer of the International show jumpers and is a direct son of Ramzes, the founder of the "R" line in the Holstein breed. Rigolette was graded in both the Netherlands and German and was a very influential sire in both countries. His dam's sire, Porter, sired four graded sons and is best know as a sire of jumpers in the Netherlands where he stood most of his time at stud, having been born in Holstein. His sire, the Trakener, Polarfurst, was a noted progenitor of broodmares and source of dressage talent. |
