Lineage:
Hoku’s sire, Hokkato is an imported lifetime approved in Europe with Zangersheide soceity. Hokkato is currently competing in the 1.50m with Meriska Prinsloo.
Stakkato created a sensation at his first appearance at the Bundeschampionate back in 1998. So wonderful was his jumping style that the judges wanted to give him a 10 – until one pointed out that one tiny part of the young stallion’s tongue was visible on one side of his mouth! So they had to settle for a 9.9.
Fourteen years later, Stakkato was proclaimed Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2000.
Stakkato was born on April 4, 1993 on August Meyer’s farm in Uenzen, Germany. Andreas Mundt raised him and presented him at the stallion licensing in autumn 1995. The jumping lines of Servus and Gotthard are combined in his sire’s pedigree. His dam Pia successfully competed up to elementary show jumping level. At her mare performance test, her jumping skills were judged with the perfect score of 10.
Stakkato showed spectacular free jumping skills at the licensing in Verden so Dr Burchard Bade purchased him for the Celle State Stud. He went on to be the best jumper at his stallion performance test. Stakkato then took the jumping championship at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf in 1998. At the 1999 Bundeschampionate, he was reserve champion.
Four years later, the bay stallion won the German Championship in the ladies’ division under Eva Bitter. Since then, Stakkato has competed on a number of occasions for the German Nation’s Cup team. One of his best performances was second place at the highly ranked Nörten-Hardenberg Grand Prix of 2007.
For Pleasure
A superstar bred for show jumping, For Pleasure, ridden by Lars Nieberg and then Marcus Ehning, won 4 team gold medals for Germany, two at the Olympics and two at European Championships, and if that wasn't enough wins, For Pleasure went on to win individually 4th at the 2000 Olympics of Sydney. At the European Championships he finished individually 4th in 1997, 5th in 1999 and a 3rd in 2003. He was 2nd in the World Cup final of Gottenburg in 1995. He won the CSIO GPs at Lucerne and St. Gallen, the CSI-W GPs of Geneva, Brussles and Leipzig and was 2nd in the CSIO GPs of Aachen and La Baule and the CSI-W GP of Olympia. For Pleasure proved himself in the jumping pen and now his foals are being noticed on an international level
Wotans Brudor is an imported KWPN stallion who carries the impressive lines of Cavalier and LadyKiller. Wotans was imported by the McLaughlin's and ridden by Jonothan Clark before his untimely death.
Cavalier is one of the most successful KWPN stallions in international showjumping. By the name of San Patrignano Mister, this grey claimed major successes in the international arena with Franke Sloothaak. The combination won more than 40 international competitions; Grand Prix, Puissance and Speed classes. After his successful showjumping career, Cavalier returned to the Netherlands where he has been used for breeding ever since.
Ladykiller,
Ladykiller xx clearly transmitted his marked type, magnificent head, correct and powerful foundation and excellent jumping ability in regards to capacity, manner of jumping, leg technique and above all spirit. His sons, Landgraf I and Lord, are some of the most influential stallions to date. He also sired other great stallions including Lorenz, Lagos, Ladalco and Lamour. Today it is almost a requirement that a horse from Holstein carries two or three times the invaluable foundation sire Ladykiller xx's blood.
Esperanza's sire is a young stallion, Lan Crest Encore, shows big promise in the show jumping ring. He won the 3 year old free jumping in 2016 at Presidents Cup and is starting his career this year. He has an amazing free jump and won the 3 year old free jumping class at Presidents Cup with a fantastic score of 83% and scored a 75% as a 2 year old, this shows how this stallion has developed in only one year. He is very careful over the jump, knees tuck to his chest with HUGE scope, and extreme kick out behind. The German Judge, Rik Van der Miert commented that he is very keen to get at the jump and makes a plan to adjust himself. He uses his body very well to bascule. Encore has the perfect topline and will mature into a phenomenal stallion. He is a modern compact type of warmblood and very flashy markings, he really has that wow factor!`
Her dam, Rock the River, is a thoroughbred approved by the Hannoverian Warmblood Society and has a magnificent jumping technique as can be seen in the above photo.
