He was previously graded at 1.50m and has many successful progeny competing in higher level dressage and show jumping. He breeds very correct horses with phenomenal talent. He is available for coverings this season and comes with a live foal guarantee with no added limitations. You cannot go wrong by using this stallion!
He has very extravagant movement with very good knee and hock action.
Lassiter has jumped in the 1,50m classes with Barry Taylor and has had numerous wins. He won the Young Horse Performance Series in his age group in 2008 and came second in 2009.
His oldest progeny are rising 12 years old and look to be very promising, all showing their sire’s exceptional movement and very easy jump.
Lacapo, who was licensed in Holstein in 1982. In Dr. Dietrich Rossow’s Holsteiner Breed Book, Lacapo is described as a “medium sized stallion with good expression and beautiful neck carriage… a very good mover. Offspring of medium frame with beautiful faces and lots of appeal. Very good movers.” Lacapo hails from the world famous Holstein stallion and “sire of the century,” Landgraf I. Landgraf’s list of show jumping progeny is endless, producing names like Freestyle (aka Lalique): winner of the Grand Prix at Aachen; Libero: the five time Dutch National Champion and ’94 World Cup winner; Linaro: 1991 Champion Holsteiner Stallion; and Landadel: 1985 100 Day Test Champion at Medingen and a sire in his own right of top dressage and jumping offspring. |
Coriander
Licenced Holsteiner Stallion Fabulous mind! Proven producer of champion riding horses. Very high in FN ratings year after year. What can you say about the stallion who can do it all? Dressage, jumping and driving. This was proven at the Holsteiner gala evening show. Coriander was jumped, changed saddles and did a Grand Prix test, and lastly was driven…all to the crowd’s cheers! Coriander is probably best known and respected for producing the quietest minds in Holstein. He ranked as the leading sire of sporthorses for all of Germany in his age group three years in a row. He’ll produce elastic movers with deep and effective shoulders. Coriander is included in this elite list of stallions for his consistent production of stallion sons and approved daughters. |
Lord (1967) was a winner of Körung, had excellent results at sports, and sired several successful sport horses and stallions. Lord is 75% thoroughbred, the outstanding qualities of Ladykiller xx and Cottage Son xxmingled in him, so he always transmitted his good type and excellent talents. Although Lord won the 1969 Holsteiner stallion approval, it was a controversial decision in the light of his conformational defects, and perhaps as a result of this Lord was at first not used greatly as a stallion, although he was one of the early stallions to jump successfully in competition. His first crop produced the international showjumper, Livius who won the 1980 German Showjumping Derby under Peter Luther, and then team medals at the 1981 European Championships, the World Championships of 1982 and the 1984 Olympic Games. In fact the showjumping family Luther has been instrumental in the success of Lord – Peter Luther’s sons both starred on Lord progeny – Thieß rode the licensed stallion, Lord Incipit with great success, and Haucke Luther was a star in the puissance with Lyra 20. Other successful competitors by Lord include Luguna (K. Huck), Lafeyette (H. Schmidt), Actrice (C. O. Nagel), Lusius (E. Gundel) and Pedro who competed at the World Championships in Dublin with Thomas Frühmann, Loyal 9 (P. Nagel-Tornau) and many more. Successful sire sons include Lantaan in Holstein, and the sadly short-lived, Lord Liberty in Oldenburg. In all, Lord sired more than 60 stallion sons, and his progeny won more than Euro 3,000.000.
Dr Dietrich Rossow in his Stallion Book of the Holsteiner Warmblood Breed, was somewhat cautious about Lord: “Lord was himself a successful 3 day horse. He is not a consistent producer. We see tall horses with big heads and also refined, sometimes small mares with beautiful heads. Along with his head, he often passes on his leg faults. All his get are endowed with enormous score over fences. His best offspring are products of crosses with refined mares. Today, Lord is more likely to be found in the dam lines since no stallion line has really emerged to carry on his influence. |
Larsa, sister of Cera. Cera was an internationally known jumper, won the Grand Prize of Aachen and Mannheim, became the German champion with Otto Becker in 1998. She is the dam of Fein Cera by Landadel borned in 1990, who became the best jumper at the Equestrian Games of Jerez: he was the only horse who went clean with all the four riders in the Final Four Lacapo, Larsa’s son (1980) by Landgraf I. Lacapo sired six Körung horses, e. g. Flemmingh, and other excellent sport horses
Ladykiller, 1961 Bay Stallion, 16.1hh (164cm)
Ladykiller xx clearly transmitted his marked type, magnificent head, correct and powerful foundation and excellent jumping ability in regards to capacity, manner of jumping, leg technique and above all spirit. His sons, Landgraf I and Lord, are some of the most influential stallions to date. He also sired other great stallions including Lorenz, Lagos, Ladalco and Lamour. Today it is almost a requirement that a horse from Holstein carries two or three times the invaluable foundation sire Ladykiller xx's blood. |
Landgraf l, 1966 Bay Stallion, 16.2hh (168cm)
Sire: Ladykiller (xx) Dam: Warthburg (Holst) By the end of the 1980's, Landgraf I was rated best amongst all sires that had stood at stud in West Germany, and his sons can be found in most breeding regions throughout the world. Landgraf I became the most important sire of show jumpers in the twentieth century having sired the most money winning show jumping offspring in the World. |
