Orlando more than proved himself in the competition arena. Under riders Dirk Demeerman and Darrah Kerrins his accomplishments include 2002 6 yr old Belgian Champion, 2nd in the 7/8 yr olds in Aachen, winner of the 2004 CSIO4* 1.50m in Lummen as well as top placings in Grand Prixs at CSIO5* Lummen, CSI4* Hardenberg, CSIO5* La Baule, and the Winter Equestrian Festival. Consuelo
17.1hh grey Holsteiner stallion Born: 1997 Consuelo offers an outstanding pedigree. As a dominant progenitor he passes on his remarkable abilities to his offspring and improves on every mare. Consuelo is an imported Holstein stallion who, although he has not been in the competition arena himself, has more than proven himself as a top sire. Consuelo has proved time and again to be a sire of champions. His list of top offspring is endless and includes Neu Heusis Connosseur (approved stallion and highest rated colt bred in Namibia), Seeis Aramis (sold to France), Locano Musica (premium mare licensing winner, 2004), Voigtskirch Eldorado (successful dressage horse), Seeis Mist (winning colt HOY 2007, 2 year olds), Zonjati Helena and Zonjati Chanaya (premium mares). |
Consuelo’s sire, Corofino I, was rewarded buy the judges with a 10 at his licensing test for his spectacular jumping abilities. As a four year old he qualified for the Bundeschampionat and achieved 9.6 in other show jumping tests. He was internationally successful under Italian rider Valerio Sozzi.
Grandsire, Corrado I, was the winner of his licensing and started a sky rocketing career as stud stallion as well as being an international competitor under Franke Sloothaak, winning in Aachen and Frankfurt, and the German masters in 1994. |
Consuelo’s dam, Anna-Tevka, was a Grade A showjumper under Dirk Hafemeister. She is also the dam of Grannex, the very successful British showjumper and sire.
Dam-sire, Landgraf I, was the first warmblood sire who’s progeny turned him into a 6,5 million DM millionaire making him one of the most successful sires. Also in Consuelo’s pedigree we find Capitol, Farnese, Lord and Ramiro who all produced world class horses. Romantiker is the grandson of Ramzes, the outstanding sire that produced sport horses in all warmblood breeds. The Ramzes-line was identified as niche to the Achill – line, of which Farnese is the most outstanding representative, is the only Holsteiner line that can be followed right up to the early beginnings of the Holstein horse as a breed. Jumping ability and a correct foundation are the trademarks of the Achill-line. |
Cor de la Bryere is one of the most significant foundation sires of the last century who revolutionized Holstein breeding. His progeny were horses with outstanding jumping ability and most importantly, he was a super producer of stallions such as Corrado, Corland, Calypso II and Cordalme Z who have moulded Holstein breeding to what it is today.
Cor de la Bryere has been especially successful in producing jumping horses, as he passes on his incredible bascule, scope, and jumping technique. Cor de la Bryere also passed on his willingness and trainability to his progeny, and they are carrying his name in the top showjumping arena's around the world. Capriccio's dam, Hannah, is by Capitol I, known by many as the most influencial showjumping sire in the Holsteiner breed. The white stallion by Capitano out of Folia (by Maximus x Ramzes AA) was bred by Harm Thormählen from Kollmar, Germany. Capitol descends from one of the best dam lines in Holstein. |
|
Due to Capriccio's dam's sire, Capitol I, Capriccio has inherited the blood that puts him in an elite league of stallions that are able to produce both outstanding sport horses as well as stallions who in turn, do on to sire top quality offspring. Capriccio's dam-line, 18b1, is currently the best in the world. Capriccio formally competed successfully in the open classes with a famous win in the 1.45m Championship class at the 2007 Cape Town show. Right before retirement, he scooped up tickets in the 1.30/1.35m classes with Celia Lecumberri. His front leg technique is tight and he is very brave, careful and good against the clock. |
